After the show it was beautiful to hear Grace talk about her life and her plans for the future. I knew she was in a good place and I was at peace with that.
3 years and over 350 comedy shows later, I moved to Vancouver BC with a blank page and unknown horizons. Although daunting, changing my life in a new country with new experiences was also invigorating. It gave me the space to reflect on everything I’d achieved in my life to date.
After seeking help from a Career Counsellor, it dawned on me that I’d been a Life Coach my whole life. I took the plunge and dived headlong into a sea of self-discovery by training to be a professional Co-Active Life Coach for Women.
Being involved in Seeds Coaching & Career Counselling Vancouver gives me the best of all my worlds. I get to work with people in the areas I am passionate about; social innovation, small business development, creative entrepreneurship, and being a Life Coach for women.

the journey to being a life coach for women
"Dreams are the seeds of change. Nothing ever grows without a seed, and nothing ever changes without a dream."
- Debby Boone
It read; “Without you, I wouldn’t be here today. I can’t thank you enough for everything you’ve done for me. You’ll always be my favorite teacher.” I broke down and cried. I’d never been moved so much.
That day was 14 years ago and I’ll never forget it. Thanks to Grace, I realized the answer to a question I’d been mulling over for a while; what is my life purpose? It is to bestow joyful opportunities for women to plant seeds of change, help them to grow, and encourage them to blossom. This was my first step toward becoming a Life Coach for women.
A promotion to Student Relationship & Career Counsellor helped me further along the path to fulfillment. This gave me the important responsibility of providing help for parents and students coping with a variety of issues, ranging from bullying, academic achievement, behavior management and social skills development.
Although I didn’t realize at the time, I was sowing seeds for another experience that would change my life, one that would help me choose my career today running my current business - Seeds Coaching & Career Counselling Vancouver, specializing in being a Life Coach for women.
Sandwiched somewhere in-between Career Counsellor and creating my Seeds Life Coach Vancouver business, I learned how to start up a business for the first time and achieved a lifelong ambition – to be a Stand-Up Comedian! I’d always seen the funny side of everyday situations and liked making people laugh.
One day I received a telephone call; it was from Grace’s boyfriend, John. John had heard of my burgeoning comedy career, and as a surprise, wanted to bring Grace to one of my shows. I was delighted, nervous and overwhelmed!
The show they came to was the final of a comedy competition I’d entered, and now I wanted to win it for Grace.

After graduating I spent many years working in commerce.
Although this was valuable experience, I lacked fulfillment.
One day I asked my older brother to help me choose a career. He’d always known me best and suggested that I’d make a great teacher!
I’ve always been interested in helping people succeed, so teaching seemed a natural fit.
During my first year teaching in high school, I experienced a human connection that would change my life forever. I received a letter from a
student called Grace, whom I’d offered personal counselling to during a difficult period in her life.
It had been 7 years since I’d seen Grace. I was pleased to see she’d become a happy, grown-up woman in a very loving relationship.
We spoke before the show, and when my turn came, I got up and performed my jokes with everything I had! It was enough – I won!
